Broadband LF Data
Broadband LF Data
Due to recent bot/hacker activity, a (totally free) account is now required in order to download data. Click “create account” above, or login with an existing account. Without an account, however, you can still browse what is available, but the download button will be missing.
Broadband LF data (1 MHz) can be found below, or click on the relevant year here:
Once you find the year you’re interested in, you can navigate directly to the site of interest, and download either individual files, or entire folders. To download, click on the file or folder (or on the checkbox), then find the little circle with the down arrow just to the left of the checkbox and click it. Please contact us if you have any issues.
Information on the file naming convention and format can be found on the “format” page. Note, these data can be very very large, so be careful downloading entire folders.
If you have specific mass data requests or an interest in large-scale data access and analysis, contact us, we may be able to make specific arrangements.
Note that to facilitate downloading, you can zip up any folder or set of files, just select the ones you want, or use the checkbox in the top right corner of the file navigation plugin to select everything. Then click on the gearbox icon which brings up a few options. You can also generate a permanent sharing link to send to yourself or someone else.
Because of the size of the dataset for broadband, we divide up the database by year. Scroll down below to reach the right year.
These data include data sampled at 1 MHz, all of which has been captured more recently, since 2012, and mostly by Georgia Tech.
